Covering an expanse of 1,856 square kilometres, the Hohe Tauern National Park is one of the largest in Europe. Explore the breath-taking Alpine landscape in the Oberpinzgau region, stretching from Zell am See to Kaprun, either with all the family, with your partner or friends. This region makes for the perfect summer destination. The longest cycle path in Austria extends to 270 or 310 kilometres from Passau to Krimml, perfect for a sporting challenge. The Tauern cycle path, on the other hand, is ideally suited to family outings.
With a fall height of 380 metres, the Krimml waterfalls are the tallest in Austria. In the Hohe Tauern National Park you can admire this natural phenomenon. Don’t miss out on the Krimml Worlds of Water. Guests keen to experience one of the most beautiful valleys in the region should opt for a walk through the Habachtal. Emeralds discovered in the Habachtal even adorn the English Crown Jewels.
